Around 140 participants for GreenBUILD Malta

Around 140 representatives of companies, institutions and other organisations operating or having interests in the construction industry took part in GreenBUILD Malta, a national conference and brokerage event organised by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) office within Malta Enterprise.

Almost half of the participants were Italian entrepreneurs who travelled to Malta specifically for the event to discuss prospective business opportunities with their Maltese counterparts through a series of one-to-one meetings organised as part of the brokerage event.

ME supports European Commission climate action

Malta Enterprise is supporting the European Commission’s pan-European campaign to increase awareness about the importance of using clean energy sources and reducing emissions as a means of addressing climate change.

European Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard launched the campaign, which is being spearheaded by the European Commission with the support of around 70 organisations across Europe including government organisations, businesses, environment groups and educational institutions.

Business First set to expand services

Business First shall over the coming months be expanding its services to include, amongst others, an internationalisation desk to assist enterprises in Malta wishing to do business abroad as well as the provision of specific support for succession planning.

These services shall be provided in line with Business First's commitment to monitor and analyse clients' feedback to see what business services are required and, where possible, start offering such services.

Over 8,000 visit Safi Aviation Park

More than 8,000 persons are estimated to have visited the Safi Aviation Park during the course of the Open Day held on October 7, 2012, which gave the general public the opportunity not only to view the €17 million project inaugurated earlier this year but also to meet a good number of industry stakeholders and learn more about the local aviation industry.

Safi Aviation Park opens for public

(October 3rd, 2012) - The Safi Aviation Park will open its gates for an Open Day with activities for all the family on Sunday, October 7th, 2012, giving the general public the opportunity to visit the €17 million facility that was inaugurated earlier this year to facilitate the growth of the aviation industry in Malta.

Throughout the day from 10:00h to 17:30h, the public will have the opportunity to take a close view of Medavia's and SR Technic's hangars, each large enough to accommodate two Airbus A320, Boeing 737 or planes of similar size at the same time.

Come and enjoy a fabulous day full of fact finding activities about Malta's aviation history and lots of entertainment for all the family!

ME delegations to explore business prospects in Tunisia, Algeria

 

Malta Enterprise is currently receiving applications from enterprises interested in forming part of two separate business delegations that shall be visiting Tunisia and Algeria back to back between November 28th and December 5th, 2012 with the scope of exploring business opportunities and strengthening commercial ties with the two neighbouring countries.
