Malta Enterprise Celebrates First Anniversary of Malta Semiconductor Competence Centre with New Strategic Partnerships

On the first anniversary of the Malta Semiconductor Competence Centre, Malta Enterprise is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BLUMORPHO and Malta Venture Capital, marking another important milestone in strengthening Malta’s deep tech ecosystem.

This strategic collaboration will create new opportunities for startups and companies operating across the deeptech sector, including semiconductors, by supporting innovation, fostering collaboration, and enabling access to new networks and opportunities for growth.

Since its establishment, the Malta Semiconductor Competence Centre has been actively supporting companies developing innovative technologies. Over the past year, the Centre has accelerated more than 20 companies through its programmes, providing them with the guidance, resources, and ecosystem connections needed to advance their solutions and strengthen their market potential.

As the Centre continues to expand its impact, a new cohort of companies has commenced Cohort 2 of the accelerator programme, further contributing to the development of the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in the deeptech sector.

The achievements of the Malta Semiconductor Competence Centre are supported by the collaboration of its consortium partners — Silicon Catalyst EU, the University of Malta, MCAST, and the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA). Together, Malta Enterprise and its partners remain committed to building a globally competitive semiconductor ecosystem that drives innovation, attracts investment, supports entrepreneurship, and contributes to sustainable economic growth.

Through continued collaboration between industry, academia, investors, and technology experts, Malta Enterprise will continue to strengthen the country’s position as a destination for high-value technology innovation and support companies shaping the future of semiconductors and deep technologies.
