Tender for the Engagement of a Destination Management Company

The Chief Executive Officer of Malta Enterprise Corporation notifies a call for tenders for the Engagement of a Destination Management Company for a 2017 International Event due to be held in Malta (DT-ME/02/2016). Applications will be received up to Friday 16th September 2016 at 10:00 am. Tenders are to be submitted online ONLY on http://www.etenders.gov.mt. Participation is free of charge.

Expression of Interest for Crafts Persons

Malta Enterprise in collaboration with MCAST and The Malta Crafts Council is receiving Expressions of Interest for a pilot project it will be launching intended to facilitate the transfer of artisanal skills to prospective crafts persons, in order to develop sectors of traditional crafts that are at risk of dying out. The pilot project shall address traditional Maltese boat building and traditional Maltese stonework decoration.

Malta Enterprise supports Xjenza Mania STEAM Summer School

Malta Enterprise is pleased to support the Xjenza Mania STEAM summer school. This is an initiative organised by the University of Malta Cottonera Resource Centre. Students will participate in experiments in the various sciences, engineering, art, mathematics and more. There will also be dedicated sessions on ICT and Robotics. Participants will have the opportunity to visit places of work where science or technology are used.

BioDNA opens laboratory at the Life Sciences Park

BioDNA, has officially opened its laboratory at the Life Sciences Park. BioDNA follows both GMP and ISO 17025 standards in forensic DNA testing, paternity testing, microbiological food testing, water testing, bacterial identification and bird sexing by DNA technology.

To ensure quality, BioDNA Ltd participates in routine interlaboratory testing by Collaborative Testing Services Inc., and CAP proficiency testing. For food testing and water testing BioDNA Ltd participates in proficiency testing
by Eurofins. 

ANIMA Investment Network marks 10th Anniversary with meeting in Malta

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the ANIMA Investment Network, ANIMA and Malta Enterprise are co-organising the annual ANIMA network Meeting, which will take place on 30 & 31 May 2016 in Malta.It is significant to note that ten years ago, in April 2006, Malta Enterprise had hosted the first  ANIMA event entitled “Towards a sustainable strategy in the Mediterranean for the Services Industry.

10th edition of Malta-China Joint Trade and Economic Commission ends at Life Sciences Park

The 10th Session of the Malta – China Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation came to an end today with a visit at the Life Sciences Park in San Ġwann, where Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business Chris Cardona and the Vice Minister for Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Ms Gao Yan, accompanied by a Chinese delegation, were given a tour of the premises and a short presentation by the Life Science Park Chief Executive Officer, Mr Joseph Sammut, on the work being undertaken at the Park.
